Greetings from the land of Summer Camp planning. I have attached the 2025 packing list that was handed out the night of the swim tests. Additionally, I have some notes below to help guide you through our departure and return.
Departure: We will meet on Sunday 6/22 at 10:30am at the Burn Boot Camp across the street from the Matthews Presbyterian Church. We will load the trailer and depart at 11:30am. Scouts should travel in their Class A uniform to camp and carry a Day Pack with their essentials for the arrival day like Water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, and a Bag Lunch for Sunday before check in. If your scout did not take our swim test, he should also have his swim trunks and a towel. The scouts may not have access to their trunks until later that day.
Theme Days at Camp
Mon: Troop T-Shirt Day
Tues: Team Shirt Day
Wed: Hawaiian Shirt Day
Thu: Tie-died Shirt Day
Fri: America Day
Reminder, every attendee must have a completed Medical Form to stay at the camp.
Return: Saturday we will depart early, stop at the Golden Coral for a buffet breakfast and return to the church at approximately 11:30am.
Care packages: If you have not picked up your empty box from us, please bring a what you might want to send in a care package on Sunday and you can fill and tape up a box for us. We typically hand those out on Wednesday evening after dinner after we celebrate reaching the halfway point with a campfire program at our campsite.
Thank you for being a part of Matthews Troop 46. We are excited to take the scouts to boy scout summer camp. If you have any questions, please let us know.
